The OneGorge Advocacy Group is an informal organization of public agencies, organizations, and private businesses from the Columbia River Gorge that collaboratively advocate for issues and priorities of the Gorge region in the state and federal legislatures.

After a two year pause, OneGorge will be returning to the state capitols again to host the Gorge-ous Night Legislative Receptions. “Gorge-ous Night in Olympia” is planned for Wednesday, February 8, beginning at 5:30PM in the Columbia Room of the Washington state Capitol Building. The reception, hosted by Senator Curtis King, Representative Kevin Waters, Representative Paul Harris, Representative Gina Mosbrucker, and Representative Chris Corry will welcome many Washington state legislators and their staff to enjoy Gorge regional food, beer, and wines while mixing with Gorge residents to learn about regional legislative priorities, major industries and products.

“Gorge-ous Night in Salem” will take place the evening of Wednesday, February 15, beginning at 5:30PM at the Spinning Room at the Willamette Heritage Center complex in Salem. Hosted by Senator Daniel Bonham, Senator Bill Hansell, Representative Jeff Helfrich, and Representative Greg Smith this reception likewise welcomes state legislators, staff, and Gorge residents to mix and mingle and enjoy the bounty of the Gorge.

“We are excited to be able to join our representatives at the Capitols again for these events. The value for our colleagues to be able to connect with and develop relationships with our legislators is tremendous. Especially since this year there are a number of new faces to these roles. It will be a great introduction for these new partnerships as we continue to advocate and raise awareness of our region,” says Brittany Berge, Port of Cascade Locks Special Projects Coordinator. OneGorge invites all area businesses to participate and provides promotional opportunities at each event.
